Upon arrival the tug boats Bugsier 3 and Bugsier 6 escort the vessel.

The huge vessel slowly comes out of the fog entering the port of Bremerhaven.

The CMA CGM MARCO POLO is serving in CMA CGMs FAL1 service connecting the Far East with Northern Europe.

During the turning maneuver the tug boat Weser assists and pushes the giant around. At this time the river Weser is closed for any other traffic off the Stromkaje.

MSC Daniela is passing Griete bound for Antwerp.

MSC Daniela was the very first super-postpanmax-containervessel with a seperated wheelhouse and funnel.

The narrowest point of the river Scheldt is Walsoorden.

As you can see the vessels pass Walsoorden less than 100 metres from shore.

Compared to other vessels of her size the wheelhouse is very small.

In order to come to Antwerp MSC Daniela was lightend in Rotterdam. Therefore she arrived with only 11.1 metres draft.
