MSC Flaminia

MSC-Flaminia006 MSC-Flaminia016The heavily damaged MSC Flaminia is moored alongside Wilhelmshaven’s Jade Weser Port on September 18th, 2012.
On July 14th, 2012 a heavy explosion occured in the Atlantic ocean while underway from Charleston to Antwerp. Eventually after weeks of discussions German authorities granted permission to enter Wilhelmshaven since all other countries did not do so earlier.

Northern Vitality

Northern-Vitality03Northern Vitality is laid up at Wilhelmshaven on September 18th, 2012. The vessel was used as “practice vessel” for the new terminal in Wilhelmshaven before. Now it is sold to Alang, India for scrapping but due to some environmental reasons it is so far not allowed to leave German waters.
