The heavily damaged MSC Flaminia is moored alongside Wilhelmshaven’s Jade Weser Port on September 18th, 2012.
On July 14th, 2012 a heavy explosion occured in the Atlantic ocean while underway from Charleston to Antwerp. Eventually after weeks of discussions German authorities granted permission to enter Wilhelmshaven since all other countries did not do so earlier.
