Winter time in Bremerhaven

ARC Integrity, Artania & Amadea
After some days with arctic temperatures parts of the Kaiserhafen basin started to freeze.
On the picture car carrier ARC Integrity and cruise vessels Artania and Amadea are berthed in the evening of February 14th, 2021.
ARC Integrity is serving for American Roll-on Roll-off Carrier (ARC), a subsidiary of Wallenius-Wilhelmsen, and is therefore US flagged and often transporting US army cargo.
Phoenix Reisen’s Amadea and Artania are laid up in Bremerhaven due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Polarstern

German research icebreaker Polarstern is leaving her home port Bremerhaven in the evening of December 20th, 2020.
Polarstern is bound for her next research tour to Antarctica. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic this time she is also used as transfer vessel for scientists.
